Lexi got her rainbow

By purplepolkadotz

This past Sunday as we were driving home from church Lexi decided she wanted to see a rainbow, we told her there were none out right then and that since God is the one who gives them to us, she would need to ask Him for one.  Right then she asked , “God, could you please give us a rainbow?” Now we told her that it may take a little while for Him to answer her prayer, but that He heard it and we would need to keep a watchful eye out for our rainbow.  Tonight, as the storms were passing through the area, mostly north of us so the sun was out a little in our nieborhood, a rainbow appeared outside our front door.  Lexi was so excited that God remembered her prayer and sent her a rainbow!  What a great example to a three year old of answered prayers, and the need to wait on God’s timing.  Unfortunately, the digital camera was full, so we were unable to get a picture, maybe next time.  She has already started praying for the next rainbow.

Now that’s a sweet story! She is so adorable, and I thank God He answered her prayer.

I love it when God comes through on our children’s prayers. It sets them up for a life of trusting God for His answers, they know He loves them.
My dd was going on a mission trip to France, but we couldn’t get her passport because in a couple of moves and a flood we had lost her birth certificate, certificate of birth abroad and her passport. So we paid to have the passport agency search for her old passport. And wouldn’t you know that they lost it? So now what? She said “I know that God will deliver that passport because He provided the money for the trip, and He wouldn’t do that if He didn’t plan for me to go.” And so we prayerfully sent a spare copy of military packing orders that listed her as my husband’s daughter along with his passport and birth certificate, with little hope that it would work. But she got her passport quickly after that! I cried and cried! What a great God we serve!
